Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Season 2 Episode 4 Review: “Halloween II”

(Beware, spoilers below!)

Brooklyn Nine-Nine, one of the more ludicrous yet endearingly amusing shows on TV has so far been a slight mixed bag the season, but still has its high points.Β This Halloween themed episode does the job, focusing on the precinct’s celebration of the holiday. Gina’s been a slippery fish this season to say the least, but we’re offered a surprising insight on her character this episode, as well as some funny interaction with Terry (note: just you wait til the dance routine at the end).

Jake attempts to steal the Captain’s watch in order to avoid five weeks of unpaid overtime. However, his elaborate plan involving hiring a thief, however, it all goes hilariously awry. All I can say is that it’s worth watching it to see both Jake and the Captain’s crazily elaborateΒ plots go up against one another.

Even though I’m not usually a fan of Halloween themed episodes, leave it to Brooklyn Nine-Nine to do a great one. Andy Samberg and Andre Braugher play off each other brilliantly, keeping the show on a high.
