Maybelline Great Lash Mascara: Review

I thought I’d review a cult beauty favourite this time around with the Maybelline Great Lash Mascara. With its famous green and pink packaging this forty years old mascara has been around for a reason. It’s advertised as ‘A Great Lash innovation.Lots of volume. No clumps, no mess.’

To me, the Great Lash Mascara is the best example of a good thing done well, the best mascara that actually does what it;s meant to. Since it’s release a slew of mascaras, each with different functions, devices and colours have come out, each promising to do more than the last. The Great Last isn’t one of these manically all-singing all-dancing products. There won’t be any big cartoon lashes or fancy brush functions but it does give you a nice amount of decent length that gives you more emphasis without overdoing it. The lack of clumps and the smooth but simple application makes it easy and simple to use.

For me, it does not do a great deal of difference, and it’s not a go to mascara if I have a fancy function but for day to day purpose there’s nothing easier to use. In this day and age I think you can find better mascaras which might pack more punch, especially for the price you might be paying. It’s a nice, basic, good mascara, but not necessarily the crowning glory in a now overstuffed market.
